I am entering this contest to win the dessert table for my best friend who is getting married this summer. I am honored to have been her friend for over twenty year (a feat when you’re not even yet thirty!) and also serve as her Maid of Honor. She is getting married to a wonderful man and they deserve all the best!
I love a wedding that takes food to the center stage. It shows when couples really think about the style of food and how that will shape the evening. For example, having different kinds of cakes on different tables allows guests to mingle and make new friends in procuring a slice if their favorite cake!

I work in the Wells Fargo Center. Cocoa and Fig is such a temptation. I love the macaroons!! We would love to have Cocoa and Fig as part of our wedding!

  • Sarah McMahonJanuary 24, 2012 - 7:03 am

This looks so yummy! Perfect for my sister’s wedding!

  • Darin RinguetteJanuary 24, 2012 - 7:04 am

What a great table! This would be awesome to have at our wedding.

  • Kara SnowJanuary 24, 2012 - 7:12 am

Your macaroons are the best! I would love to have them at my wedding!

  • EllenJanuary 24, 2012 - 7:43 am

Ny brother and his fiancée are planning their wedding for October and something like this would be the perfect addition to the look of their wedding! I’ve been surfing these sites so I can help out in any way possible and now I’m glad for it!

  • kristinJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:00 am

I love weddings where the food really reflects the bride and groom. A family recipe, a nod to their heritage, anything that’s special!

  • Heloise NgoJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:12 am

The dessert table reminds me of Paris – all the decadence of perfect little sweets that entice the palate. It’s like window shopping at all those wonderful bakeries. My favorite wedding food recommendation would be cupcakes…I love the tiered cupcakes that look like a mini wedding cake!

  • MattJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:14 am

Wedding food is so tough–it largely depends on the size of the wedding because serving a couple dozen is a much different task than feeding a couple hundred.

  • Cara BradenJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:24 am

I love the idea of mini desserts! Everything is cuter when its mini….mini cream puffs, mini fruit tarts, mini pies….the possibilities are endless!!

  • SylvieJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:49 am

I would loooooooove to win this for my wedding! Perfect timing! Instead of traditional wedding food, my fiance and I have decided on gourmet sandwiches, either from a local beloved deli or a local restaurant. Still can’t decide on which. We’re also having our reception at noon on a saturday, so the food is very appropriate. I think it’s an affordable and delish choice for any wedding.

  • Kathy HendersonJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:07 am

My daughter is getting married in Minneapolis this year, on a limited budget. She is one of the finest “foodies” around, and I would love to be able to assist her with this WONDERFUL prize!!!

I think wedding foods that feature smaller “bite size” tastes are the BEST! Gives the guests opportunity to sample many diverse flavors and varieties – and a lot less possibility of mess!

  • […] enter, go to IN(DY)SPIRE’s website and leave a comment on their contest post — one random commenter will be chosen to win on Feb. 6, […]

  • JackieJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:20 am

Joe and Laurie!!!! This is AMAZING! Some couple will be extremely lucky to have you (for free)!

  • sLuaJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:28 am

Love your desserts – would be fabulous to win this prize! A favorite food idea from a recent wedding I attended was a round table full of help yourself hors d’oeuvres of gourmet style spreads, dips, rustic crackers and breads.

  • Linda NJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:30 am

what a great display!! and an even better opportunity! i’m entering for my friend where i’m serving as one of her mohs. thank you Cocoa & Fig!!

  • Liz OJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:38 am

Cocoa and Fig has absolutely the best treats ever! My favorite is the caramel salted chocolate cupcake. Entering for my friend Jessica who is soon having her first child and getting married this summer!

  • jenniferJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:49 am

I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to show off one of the most wonderful bakeries in Minnesota to impress the out-of-state guests (and that’s everyone!) coming to my wedding. We’re already planning a MN-centric wedding, and the dessert options in our budget range seem a bit limited, so having a variety of treats designed just for us would be fantastic. I love the look of this spread, too, but can’t help imagining the little frosting touches in blue and silver instead of orange. Absolutely adorable!

  • BrittJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:56 am

Cocoa & Fig is absolutely AMAZING!! I love your rice krispie bars …. just something about them is so unique and yummy!! I would love the opportunity to have or give this dessert table to someone!!!

  • MollyJanuary 24, 2012 - 9:56 am

I’m especially loving the macarons because they’re naturally gluten-free… And the beautiful colors help, too!

  • JennaJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:10 am

I love your cake pops and cupcakes. Your creations would look awesome at my wedding! 🙂

  • CindyJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:10 am

What an amazing wedding gift this dessert table would be! Serving Cocoa & Fig to my guests would be an absolute dream come true. I’m completely obsessed with your French macarons and can only imagine everything you create is equally as scrumptious!

  • NinaJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:19 am

I am madly in love with Cocoa & Fig’s delectable confections. Now that I don’t work downtown anymore, it’s a rare treat when I get to savor one of their desserts (my fiancé always knows Cocoa & Fig is the perfect treat to cheer me up!)–my go-to favorite is the black velvet cake pops. So. Delicious. At the last Independent Wedding Fair, I was blown away with their s’mores. They are the perfect addition to their already-tasty dessert offerings. I would absolutely love to showcase a not only delicious, but beautiful Cocoa & Fig spread at my wedding reception this fall–it would be the perfect way to spoil my guests 🙂

  • JennieJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:26 am

My best friend introduced me to Cocoa & Fig by bringing me treats from you whenever I needed something to cheer me up, or as a congratulations gift. You are the best! I am getting married this summer and I would love to introduce them to Cocoa and Fig as well!

For my favorite wedding food recommendations? My dream would be a build your own Mac N Cheese bar with lots of toppings, but I would have to do a darn good selling job to convince my fiance;)

  • Nick OlsonJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:45 am

What a beautiful table you presented up there! We would be ever so honored to have you guys at our wedding.

  • Brittany BonineJanuary 24, 2012 - 10:47 am

You present a very inspired tablescape and everything there sounds so wonderful! Our wedding is March 16th and it would be such a treat to spend it with you guys

  • Michelle ThumJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:12 am

I love Cocoa & Fig’s attention to detail! All the items mesh together and the detail! Perfect! 🙂 I personally love anything mini!

  • Jessica BerzowskiJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:25 am

My fiancee and I were engaged a month ago while on a vacation in Ireland. Our planning is in the very early stages and seeing these pictures took my breath away. The photos are absolutely beautiful! We are each working two jobs to pay for the wedding and something like this would help put the finishing touches on our special day.

  • Allison McMahonJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:26 am

I am obsessed with mini food and would LOVE to get to work with Cocoa and Fig! Our wedding is on lake minnetonka this fall and I know they would help make it extra special.

  • Max SpectorJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:30 am

Winning this would make my fiance so happy! She loves Cocoa and Fig!!

  • Maureen PerrymanJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:36 am

This would be magical and perfect for our summer wedding, a true dream come true 🙂

  • AliJanuary 24, 2012 - 11:54 am

Anyone would be lucky to have such a beautiful display at their wedding. Almost too pretty to eat!

  • leslieJanuary 24, 2012 - 12:48 pm

I would love to win this for my friend who is having a wedding in October. It would be such a great surprise. I have beent o weddings before with Cocoa & fig desserts and they do an AMAZING job!

  • Meg ColvinJanuary 24, 2012 - 12:54 pm

When my fiance and I began talking about what we wanted in our wedding celebration, the first thing we both said was “there have to be desserts and they have to be awesome!”

Cocoa & Fig would fit perfectly into what we’re looking to have at our wedding – an emphasis on made from scratch “yumminess” and style. How could anyone turn down something as cute and yummy as their Valrhona chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting! Delish!

  • Allie CampbellJanuary 24, 2012 - 1:01 pm

Hi! I would love to have Cocoa & Fig at our wedding at TCF Stadium in October. Miniature desserts is exactly what we were thinking about doing 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!

  • CaraJanuary 24, 2012 - 1:09 pm

Cocoa & Fig lovingly bakes a world of flavor into every (bite-sized) morsel. Any wedding would benefit from their sweet and stylish French macaroons, and who wouldn’t want to add a “cake pop” of color to the dessert table?

  • Allie JaneJanuary 24, 2012 - 1:30 pm

I LOVE Cocoa and Fig!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! It would be so amazing to be able to provide all of our out-of-town guests with some of Minnesota’s most delicious treats!!

  • allieJanuary 24, 2012 - 1:48 pm

Cocoa & Fig’s #1 fan right here!! They are UNBELIEVABLE and I wouldn’t consider anyone else for my wedding in November!

  • StacieJanuary 24, 2012 - 2:17 pm

What an absolutely amazing way to celebrate the big day than by having such a beautiful, lavish, and creative dessert spread. Favorite wedding food is the cake. I judge the success of a marriage by the quality of the cake served. Okay, not really…but a fine piece of wedding cake is hard to beat!

  • BrittanyJanuary 24, 2012 - 2:18 pm

I would ADORE to have Cocoa & Fig at my wedding this summer!
    Beautiful and delicious!

  • Alison MJanuary 24, 2012 - 2:22 pm

Would love to be able to win this for my sister-in-law, in no small part because I’d get to eat some of it.

  • SaraJanuary 24, 2012 - 2:29 pm

    A wedding food Haiku:

    A little sweet bite
    For my wedding day delight
    Makes a perfect night

  • RainaJanuary 24, 2012 - 3:19 pm

  • Jess StewartJanuary 24, 2012 - 4:46 pm

I’ve wanted to be in the ‘I Love Lucy’ chocolate episode since I was a kid!

This would be my moment to live a sweets dream w/ Cocoa & Fig at my September wedding at the St. Paul Hotel!!!!

  • Heather EuteneuerJanuary 24, 2012 - 4:48 pm

I am getting married in September and would LOVE a desert table! I have such a sweet tooth and would eat sweets all day if I could. I am also a wedding photographer so I have had my share of wedding food. My favorite for deserts are cupcakes and some kind of fruit desert 🙂 Buffets aren’t my favorite but it is good for the guests to have a selection on what they eat. Plated dinners are great for feeding the guests fast and its a little more professional. My favorite wedding dinner is wallet its so tasty and is usually loved by all 🙂

  • jumiJanuary 24, 2012 - 5:09 pm

Pick me! Dessert tables should always involve something chocolate!

  • SheenaJanuary 24, 2012 - 6:04 pm

  • bkmnJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:11 pm

My partner and I have face the fact that we can’t get married in this state, in spite of the fact that we have been together for more than 10 years. We devote ourselves to each other, but the law screws us over because we are both men.

  • AnneJanuary 24, 2012 - 8:42 pm

I am getting married this fall and would love a custom designed dessert table! • Krista D.January 25, 2012 - 8:28 am

  • Jen N.January 25, 2012 - 9:31 am

We are having a local chef create a Thai meal at our wedding this summer! We chose this style of cuisine because it is our favorite and we want to share it with all of our guests. Hopefully we will have time to enjoy it too–I have heard that it is hard to find time to eat at your own wedding reception. We have not planned our dessert table yet, so winning this contest would be AMAZING!

  • KitJanuary 25, 2012 - 9:39 am

Super fancy! I want to go to there.

  • SarahJanuary 28, 2012 - 5:21 pm

Love this dessert table. Food for a wedding should reflect the couple of course! We are doing a Minneapolis themed monochromatic modern wedding. Walleye is of course on the menu. Anything that brings the feel of your day into the food is a great way to go! Also, with out of town guests, local foods that showcase your city’s finest foodie contributions really set the mood. Local brews? I think so!

  • RyanJanuary 28, 2012 - 5:45 pm

I would eat all of this, twice.

  • susanJanuary 28, 2012 - 6:46 pm

We would be thrilled to have a Cocoa & Fig dessert bar at our wedding! I love anything and everything chocolate especially dessert shooters and cake balls or lollipops! 🙂

  • Stacey GrossJanuary 30, 2012 - 1:52 pm

Love this table esp. since tangerine orange is the color of the 2012 season! Love when vendors are on trend!!!
We already have our heart set on booking with Cocoa & Fig—love their range of options and that they will do not only dessert but party favors—but it wouldn’t hurt the budget to win something!!!!

  • Jenny MuellerJanuary 30, 2012 - 2:01 pm

Your French macarons are to die for, and it would be like a dream to be able to have Cocoa & Fig desserts at our wedding. Thanks for the opportunity to even be in the running!

  • Eileen MuellerJanuary 30, 2012 - 2:26 pm

  • HelenaJanuary 30, 2012 - 5:32 pm

We are doing kabobs for our farm wedding but definitely want to have a variety of desserts…an assortment of cakes, pies, and macarons!

  • Amy MuellerJanuary 30, 2012 - 5:40 pm

I don’t believe it! I love Cocoa & Fig. Who knew desserts so beautiful could taste so delectable. I love that they have Gluten free options like their macaroons and flourless chocolate cake for sensitive wedding go-ers. Go C&G!

  • Janet BuneJanuary 30, 2012 - 7:55 pm

I love that your desserts are small and intimate – A table of these desserts would be such a wonderful addition to our son and future daughter-in-law’s wedding celebration. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a lovely display.

  • Kelly SchneiderJanuary 30, 2012 - 10:48 pm

My groom teases me all the time about my love of sweets; never admitting that his sweet-tooth is just as big! 🙂 A table of desserts, would of course be so awesome and unique; thanks for the offering such a wonderful prize.

  • Kia LaabsJanuary 30, 2012 - 11:59 pm

My favorite wedding food recommendation is VARIETY! I know a lot of people aren’t fans of buffets but I think they’re awesome! Buffets make it easier to please more taste buds and most of the time you can go back for seconds. Happy bellies make happy guests!
I am a DIY bride and my wedding is in August. I was planning to make a “fake” wedding cake for display and serve ice cream sundaes for dessert(working with a tight budget, like a lot of brides out there)but I would much rather have a beautiful, custom designed table full of your delicious mini desserts! Thank you for the opportunity, and good luck to everyone entering!!!

  • jasmineJanuary 31, 2012 - 10:50 am

I was looking for so many kinds of desserts to serve my friends and families for my wedding and I found cocoa & fig! Ending the day with sweetness is the best choice and strawberry dipped chocolate is my favorite and i know it will look amazing and unique for the wedding. Your dipping just simply beat Godiva!

  • Kiva WilliamsJanuary 31, 2012 - 7:44 pm

I would love to win this dessert table! It sounds like Cocoa Fig is FAB! 🙂

  • M DJanuary 31, 2012 - 9:01 pm

I attended a wedding in which the guest gift was caramels from a local business in the bride’s hometown. That was a great, sentimental idea.

  • CarebearFebruary 1, 2012 - 1:52 am

Hello to the wonderful dessert artists! Your style and creative yummyness would be a lovely addition to my my friend’s wedding.

  • MarkFebruary 1, 2012 - 12:02 pm

I can’t wait to marry the love of my life on June 9, 2012. Having an awesome dessert table would make the day even better!

  • LauraFebruary 1, 2012 - 10:01 pm

I love Cocoa and Fig! Winning a dessert table for my wedding in September would be amazing, since my fiance (who is obsessed with desserts) and I were dreaming of having one if budget allowed. Cocoa and Fig’s macarons and dessert shooters are to die for!

  • SarahFebruary 2, 2012 - 4:24 pm

This is gorgeous. As far as wedding food recommendations, I am a huge fan of anything that combines sweet and salty! Delicious.

  • LeahFebruary 2, 2012 - 4:36 pm

We are having our wedding at Loring Pasta Bar — which equates to an amazing location and amazing food. Good food is an important part of our wedding because we’re both self-proclaimed food snobs! A Cocoa & Fig dessert table would complement our wedding perfectly — not too traditional and an emphasis on great food and treats!

  • Erin FredrickFebruary 2, 2012 - 7:14 pm

When people ask me about my upcoming wedding my new favorite thing to talk about is how excited I am about the desserts from Cocoa and Fig!!!! I highly recommend Cocoa and Fig’s salted caramel macaroons and salted caramel chocolate cupcakes- they are absolutely AMAZING!!!

  • Jane FredrickFebruary 2, 2012 - 7:18 pm

My fiance is a native Minnesotan and raves about you guys all the time. She has been trying to (unsuccessfully) recreate some treat you have in the shape of the state for our wedding. Winning this would make her so happy. Plus I love macaroons, and I hear yours are incredible.
