The first ever “Not So Real Wedding”
Katrina of Studio Laguna was on hand to capture the “not so real” nuptials of a couple who are actually married, while flowers from Ashley Fox and Distinctly Debbie complimented the clothes from Posh Bridal Couture and hair/makeup from Brett Dorrian.
Amazing letterpress programs from Armato Designs greeted all the wedding guests to their seats, and Rev Derek led the “not so real” ceremony – there were even a few misty eyes when Maggie and Logan were announced as “married”. Urthema String Quartet chose a few unexpected pieces for a string quartet to play during the ceremony, making a lovely ambiance in the amazing Varsity Theater. After the ceremony, wedding planner Stephanie from Table 6 led guests along to the cake cutting of an amazinf carousel themed cake from Jessica’s Cakes, followed by dance instruction from Monica Mohn, cake eating, and more photos.
Tasty morsels from Chowgirls Killer Catering greeted people right away with their roasted vegetables and selection of cheeses. Cocoa and Fig’s miniature chocolate mouse cups and several other amazing little tastes rounded out the main floor while Sweets Bakeshop had macaroons and cupcakes on hand, and a selection of cheeses (all from Wisconsin) at the Campus Club booth rounded out the balcony.
Planning, Styling, and Designing, oh my!
Adagio entertainment joined in their first Independent Wedding Fair, activly participating in our “wedding style” panel. Paperista‘s styling came in throughout the day from the booklets and tickets to the style of the Bride and Groom! Festivities brought some great ideas for wedding decoration, and their influence will be very visable in February’s event. Wedding planner Elizabeth Anne, Florist Sassafras Gardens, and hair accessories mavens Posh | Rebel all had a lot of style to share with guests. And what day would be complete without photographers – Sewell Photography brought a sampling of wedding images, and Jennifer Whalen Photography represented her style with larger prints. Jason Price‘s jazz trio brought a mellow sound to the Varsity Theater, and the Traveling Photobooth provided hours of entertainment, even for the members!
Thanks to all the Brides & Grooms (and their friends and family) who joined us!
