The American Swedish Institute, located in a turn of the century mansion in Minneapolis, is known as a place to learn about Nordic culture, and the role of Swedish and other immigrants in Minnesota’s history. It also houses a multitude of ways to celebrate your wedding and, with their new expansion, will offer wedding venues that will showcase Minneapolis in a whole new light. The mansion has the the stained glass and decadent architecture you would expect from a perfectly maintained old home, and is perfect for smaller weddings and social gatherings. The new Nelson Cultural Center (set for completion in 2012) will offer a modern edge with lots of windows and outdoor space.
